Recently, I started going down the rabbit hole of improving my VO2 Max.
Peter Attia discusses it extensively in his Podcast episodes (links:

here) He has
certainly contributed a lot to bringing VO2 Max to mainstream attention.
The information about how to effectively train and improve your VO2 Max is scattered, and it took me some time to collect everything and come up with a training plan.
Because I’m a nerd and I like to measure everything, I wanted to build an app that would allow me to measure the intensity and adjust it so that it’s neither too low nor too high.
